Biography

May Oliverio, RN, has an eight-year tenure in healthcare, specializing in geriatric care. May’s journey began in her home country Philippines, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Luzon State University in 2011. Her insatiable thirst for knowledge led her to complete Post Graduate Certificates in Gerontology and Chronic Illness (2020) and Clinical and Critical Care (2019) at Conestoga College, Ontario, Canada.

May’s professional trajectory spans diverse global experiences, from her role as a Staff Nurse in hospital at her home country to an impactful position as a Labor and Delivery Nurse in Saudi Arabia. Notably, she transitioned into a Nurse Educator role, fostering aspiring healthcare professionals from 2016 to 2018.

Migrating to Canada, May assumed the role of a Registered Nurse Supervisor at Lanark Heights Long Term Care, showcasing her commitment to geriatric care and leadership role overseeing Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers. In 2022, she joined Conestoga College as a Clinical Instructor, imparting her wealth of knowledge to the next generation of nurses.

May’s dedication extends beyond the professional realm, evident in her volunteer work at Parkwood Mennonite Home in 2020. Armed with a multitude of certifications and affiliations with esteemed organizations like the Ontario Nurses Association as Bargaining Unit President and the Philippine Nurses Association, May Oliverio, RN, epitomizes compassion, dedication, and quality care in the field of nursing, leaving an indelible mark as an inspiration for aspiring healthcare professionals.
