The Ontario Personal Support Workers Association (OPSWA) is the recognized professional association representing Personal Support Workers (PSWs) across Ontario. Built and led by PSWs, OPSWA exists to advocate for the profession, elevate standards of care, and ensure the voices of frontline workers are heard at every level of the healthcare system.
OPSWA understands the realities of the role because it is driven by those who live it every day. The association works to support PSWs through advocacy, professional development, resources, and community—while continuously pushing for improvements that directly impact both workers and the individuals they care for.
Representing thousands of PSWs across Ontario—and growing—OPSWA is committed to strengthening the profession and improving outcomes for some of society’s most vulnerable populations.
As the founding chapter of the Canadian Support Workers Association (CANSWA), OPSWA plays a key role in shaping a unified, national voice for support workers across Canada.
